In addition to working in the hospital, Natalya Chernomashtseva is an activist of the Deystviye ('Action') Trade Union of Medical Workers. She planned to hold a protest andВ expectedВ up to 10 health workers to attend it, but the authorities refused to approve it. As a result, she held a one-person picket.

Chernomashtseva stood near the Oktyabr’ (October’) Cultural Center. She held a poster saying, "We demand payments for high-risk „groups“."

According to the activist, only a few people witnessed her picket — it was cold and very foggy in the Northern town.

Local doctors, as well as medical workers in other regions of Russia, are not satisfied with the procedure of accounting payments promised by the president for working with patients with coronavirus. Chernomashtseva's campaign was part ofВ all-Russian campaignВ "Pay Doctors for COVID".
